Personal pocket size sonar
for SCUBA divers and fisherman
The safety tool every advanced diver needs
It will even read through ice and the bottom of many boats.
The personal SCUBA SONAR will give you information you need that was never available to you before. It serves as your eyes to see beyond the visibility limits of the water. It will reach out for you to see as far as 200 feet from your location in any direction, even in zero visibility water.
The reason it was not available before was because of its limitations and high price. Those problems are now gone.
The value to the diver is in the width of its cone. It takes less power to make a narrow cone sonar (6 degrees) but it is difficult for a diver to locate his target with a narrow cone. A more expensive, wide cone sonar (20 degrees) allows the diver find h is target easily.
You see here the newest and most advanced personal sonar that you can buy. Compared to a few years ago when ScuaPro was selling one of similar physical size for over $300 which had only a six degree angle of view, our modern one now has a twenty degree angle of view and sells about 1/2 that price.
The problem with the old fashioned model is that it has a limit of six degrees and using it to find something in the dark is like trying to shoot something with a rifle while you're wearing a blindfold. Using a sonar with a twenty degree cone that would be more like using a shotgun.
That narrow cone six degree model is still being sold under various names at prices ranging up to $175.00.
That unit is still useful if all you want it for is to tell you the depth of the water. After all, pointing it straight down is easy and accurate.
But if you are trying to find your buddy in murky water or locate your boat to get back in a hurry the wide twenty degree search cone is what you need.
Using it is easy!
Just point it in the direction you want to see and press the button.
The unit will send out a sonar beam and will give you a distance reading in feet and inches that will stay lit in the viewing screen for ten seconds.
It will tell you the exact distance to an accuracy of 1.2 inches.
If you click the button twice it will give you an exact temperature reading in either air or water.
